To ensure security and manage traffic during the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024, the deputy inspector general (DIG) Traffic has recommended the closure of schools around Sharah-e-Faisal and Karsaz from November 19 to 22.

In a letter to the Karachi commissioner, DIG Traffic highlighted that keeping schools open during the event could disrupt traffic flow and complicate security arrangements.

IDEAS 2024, scheduled at the Karachi Expo Centre, is a major international event promoting Pakistan’s indigenous defense industry and facilitating arms trade. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the official partner, is actively publicizing the event.

Since its inception in 2000, IDEAS has drawn significant attention, with a large number of delegates and international vendors attending to showcase advanced defense solutions.
