Security forces have killed 197 terrorists during three days of sustained counter-terrorism operations across Balochistan, according to security sources. The operations, launched in response to a wave of coordinated militant attacks, are ongoing in several areas with follow-up and sanitisation actions underway. In total, 22 security personnel, including members of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), police, and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), were martyred while defending the country and protecting civilians.
The terrorist violence has also claimed the lives of 36 civilians, most of them Baloch residents. Women and children were among those killed, security sources added. On Saturday, security forces repelled coordinated attacks in Quetta and multiple other cities and towns, killing 92 terrorists in a single day. Fifteen security personnel and 18 civilians perished during that phase of the violence.
The attacks, carried out by militants belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Hindustan, targeted areas including Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni. Security officials stated that the security forces remain on high alert, continuing clearance operations to eliminate remaining threats and restore stability in affected areas.
