The Sindh government has declared January 28 as a holiday for all public and private educational institutions in the province to commemorate Shab-e-Meraj, as per an official notification issued.
Shab-e-Meraj, observed on the 27th of Rajab in the Islamic calendar, marks the miraculous night journey and ascension of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) to the heavens.
Traditionally, the occasion is honored with prayers, gatherings, and reflections, with schools and colleges remaining closed to observe its spiritual importance.
