Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced that the provincial government will provide Rs1 million each to the families of individuals who lost their lives while resisting dacoity incidents in the province from January to date.
Addressing the Sindh Assembly, Shah acknowledged that 84 people have been killed in such incidents since the beginning of the year. He expressed regret for not visiting the victims’ families and emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting them.
“We will provide Rs1 million to the families of all those who lost their lives in dacoity incidents from January till now,” Shah stated.
Shah also criticized the caretaker government, stating it should not obstruct the work of the elected government. He highlighted financial challenges, mentioning that the federal government has withheld Rs76 billion and allocated only Rs25-30 billion for the K-4 water project, with a Rs40 billion plan for which the Sindh government has allocated Rs3 billion.
