Sindh Governor Syed Nihal Hashmi inaugurated a new NADRA Mega Centre in Karachi’s Surjani area, aiming to improve access to identity registration and documentation services for residents of the locality and surrounding neighbourhoods.
The newly constructed facility includes separate service counters for senior citizens and persons with disabilities to ensure greater convenience. The mega centre has 20 one-window counters providing multiple services under one roof.
Officials said the centre also features a spacious waiting area with seating capacity for 200 people at a time. The facility will be capable of serving more than 2,000 applicants over a 24-hour period.
The establishment of the mega centre will provide millions of residents of Surjani and nearby areas with access to all NADRA services at a single location. Officials added that the presence of a zonal office within the facility will also eliminate the need for citizens to travel to the Ayesha Manzil office for related services.
