In Karachi, the Sindh Government’s efforts are intensifying through the expansion of bus services. At a high-level meeting chaired by Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, discussions focused on ongoing projects like the Red Line BRT and measures to improve public convenience.
The minister underscored that while significant progress has been made with the Red Line BRT project, including work underway on its corridor despite challenges, it is imperative to expedite this task. Daily monitoring of development activities will ensure swift completion, thereby alleviating commuter hardships caused by traffic congestion.
Inam Memon also directed authorities to strictly enforce alternative traffic management plans during construction and launched a public awareness campaign to keep citizens updated about these developments. His directive to prioritize routes where commuters suffer most from transportation woes further underscores his commitment to easing daily frustrations in the metropolis.
Additionally, Inam Memon announced official office hours for Ramadan, emphasizing efficient coordination to manage construction activities. The minister stressed that alongside BRT projects, increasing bus services will transform urban life by providing safer and more affordable travel options for residents.
The Sindh government’s comprehensive approach reflects its dedication to enhancing Karachi’s public transport system, ensuring a modern and efficient urban environment where citizens can thrive without the stress of commuting difficulties.
