The Government of Sindh has announced a substantial salary increase for vice-chancellors (VCs) at public universities in the province.
The minimum annual salary for VCs will now be Rs684,450, up by approximately Rs20,000, with an additional 20% allowance raising total monthly wages to over Rs820,000.
The notification, approved by the Sindh Chief Minister, ensures this enhanced pay structure for all VCs for the remainder of their terms.
The increase follows the appointment of five new VCs and will benefit many in their second, third, or fourth years of tenure, aligning their compensation with the highest Tenure Track System (TTS) scale.
