At least six people were killed in an armed attack on Monday in Dastak, a remote area of Panjgur district in Balochistan. Unknown assailants launched the assault, burning two vehicles before fleeing the scene. The police responded swiftly, deploying teams to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators.

The victims included Dawood, son of Awaiz, who was identified as a resident of the border village of Nagar along with his father Haji Faiz Muhammad. Two other residents of Nagar also perished in the attack. While the identities of the remaining four were not confirmed by authorities, they too hailed from the same village.

A comprehensive search operation has been initiated to find and capture those responsible for the crime. Authorities have launched a series of security measures following the incident. In the aftermath of the attack, two more bodies were discovered: one in Surab and another near Panjgur city.

In Surab, law enforcement received intelligence about two deceased individuals found in Marap, an area on the outskirts of town. Police teams immediately responded and retrieved both bodies for further medical processing at a hospital. The victims identified as Taimur Ahmed and Ghulam Murtaza were killed by armed men who shot them dead before leaving behind the remains.

In Panjgur, a separate incident occurred where an unidentified body was discovered near the CPEC Road close to a date factory. Jehanzeb son of Muhammad Esa, another resident from Nagar, was found with fatal wounds sustained in a similar manner as his companions.

These incidents underscore the ongoing security challenges faced by Balochistan’s border areas, particularly in Panjgur and Surab districts. Authorities have committed to ensuring that all perpetrators are apprehended and held accountable for their actions.
