The deployment of Rangers in Karachi has been extended for an additional six months, with approval from the Sindh government.
During a provincial cabinet meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Thursday, the extension period was greenlit. The Sindh Rangers will retain their authority under the Anti-Terrorism Act during this period.
Furthermore, the cabinet endorsed the establishment of a governing body to replace the Overseas Committee within the Sindh Building Control Authority. Additionally, four new members have been appointed to the Thar Coal and Energy Board, including Shazia Mari, Education Minister Sardar Shah, Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro, and Karni Singh.
A spokesperson disclosed that the cabinet granted exemption from stamp duty for a plot measuring 45,371 square yards in North Nazimabad, where the Bohri community intends to establish a university.
