In a recent update, South Korea has revamped its visa application process for Pakistani nationals, introducing a more hands-on approach. Now, all applicants must personally submit essential documents, including a valid passport, a duly filled application form, and a recent passport-sized color photograph.
For those applying for a short-term South Korea Visit Visa, specific documentation related to the purpose of the visit, such as family reunions, meetings, conferences, and more, is mandatory.
One of the notable changes is the requirement for original and notarized invitation papers, coupled with a guarantee paper. The inviter must furnish details regarding the purpose of the invitation, business background, and any relevant activities.
Pakistani invitees, on the other hand, are now obligated to provide documents like a job certification, income details, a recommendation letter, and bank statements for the preceding six months. Additional documents, such as marriage certificates and family registration certificates, may also be necessary.
The visa application fee structure has undergone revisions. For stays less than 90 days, the fee is now set at Rs12,000, while for stays exceeding 91 days, applicants will need to pay Rs18,000. It’s important to note that the visa application fee is non-refundable, even in cases of rejection.
With these new changes, South Korea emphasizes a more stringent visa application process, urging applicants to adhere to the specified guidelines for a smoother and successful application. Travelers are advised to thoroughly understand and fulfill the updated requirements to ensure a hassle-free visa application experience.
