Strokes Release ‘Reality Awaits’ This Summer

The Strokes, the renowned rock band, are set to drop a new album this summer titled Reality Awaits. This marks their first studio release since 2020’s The New Abnormal.

On April 6, they announced the news via social media in a cryptic teaser featuring a vintage 1980s Nissan 300ZX and building guitar chords. The video ended with the text “Reality Awaits” followed by “In the flesh, it’s even sexier.”

The band’s frontman, Julian Casablancas, along with his bandmates, has been relatively low profile recently as they pursued side projects. However, anticipation for a full Strokes comeback has been steadily building.

Their last album, The New Abnormal, earned them their first Grammy and reintroduced their iconic sound to new fans. This upcoming release aligns with the band’s festival appearances, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands, signaling a major return to the stage.
