US Representative Eric Swalwell is facing serious sexual misconduct allegations. Four women have come forward accusing him of sending unsolicited nude messages or photos.
One accuser, Ally Sammarco, went on record with CNN stating she had provided all the messages to the network and has her husband’s full support. She initially contacted Swalwell on Twitter in 2021 but did not expect a response due to his significantly larger follower count.
Swalwell, a leading Democratic candidate for California governor, strongly denies these allegations as they surfaced ahead of an important election. His legal team has also threatened action against at least one accuser.
The allegations were first reported by CNN and The San Francisco Chronicle on Friday, causing some prominent Democrats and unions to withdraw their support from Swalwell’s gubernatorial campaign.
