Tehran Unresponsive to US Proposals, Says Baghaei

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that Tehran is still reviewing proposals from the US. No final conclusion has been reached and no response sent to Washington.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran would be ready for diplomacy if the US abandons unfair conditions, threatening behavior, and provocative actions.

US officials claim a one-page memorandum of understanding (MoU) is prepared to formalize an end to hostilities between the US and Iran. A new framework for nuclear negotiations could also be established.

US President Donald Trump said a peace agreement with Iran could be finalized within a week. He warned that further strikes by the US could occur if Iran does not quickly agree on reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
