Tribal Leader Returns Home

Sardar Zafar Bazai, a prominent tribal figure from Sara Ghargai, was kidnapped on May 15 by unidentified individuals. His abduction prompted protests by his relatives and members of the Bazai tribe who blocked Airport Road. The sit-in ended after assurances of swift action from the district administration and police. On Monday evening, around 5pm, Sardar Zafar Bazai safely returned to his home.

Road Accident Claims Two Lives

A tragic road accident on May 15 resulted in two women being killed and 15 others injured. The incident occurred when a speeding truck carrying nomadic families overturned on the Kuchlak Bypass near Jehangirabad, causing the driver’s brakes to fail. The deceased were identified as Bibi Sado and Amina Bibi. Among those injured were three women and seven children, including two-year-old Usman, three-year-old Shafia, five-year-old Saima Bibi, five-year-old Dad Khan, eight-year-old Sahiba Bibi, eight-year-old Nek Bakht, and 14-year-old Nasrullah. The truck driver also sustained injuries. Rescue teams and police swiftly reached the scene, moving the bodies and injured to the hospital for medical treatment and legal formalities before returning them to their families.
