US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that Iran would face severe consequences as part of the ongoing conflict between Tehran and Israel. In a post on Truth Social, Trump emphasized his stance, saying, “Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death due to their bad behavior.” He added that he was considering targeting previously unconsidered areas and groups.
This harsh statement came after earlier comments from the President where he had said there would be no deal with Iran except “unconditional surrender.” Trump’s recent actions against Iran, including launching a war with Israel, were described as a direct response to Tehran’s actions. The US leader noted that Iran had apologized to its neighbors for the strikes they had launched.
In another social media post, President Trump promised to work alongside Iran’s allies and partners towards bringing the country back from the brink of destruction once it selects what he termed as a “GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader.” He dismissed suggestions that sending US ground troops into Iran would be an effective strategy. The president also criticized comments made by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi regarding a possible invasion, stating they were “wasted” given the severe losses Iran had already suffered.
Trump’s stance further emphasized his belief in the inevitability of dealing with Iran harshly and without concessions until Tehran admitted defeat.
