Donald Trump declared his recent annual medical check-up “perfectly” on Tuesday. The health of the oldest US president ever to take office is under growing scrutiny with his 80th birthday approaching.
Trump’s third examination since returning to power last year has raised concerns over issues like hand bruising and apparent sleepiness during meetings. He posted a statement on Truth Social, driving back from Walter Reed Military Hospital near Washington that everything checked out perfectly.
However, Trump has often been criticized for lack of transparency regarding his health. The timing of his various check-ups during his second term has added to the confusion. Despite White House’s announcement labeling it an annual dental and medical examination, Trump referred to it as a “six-month physical.” His last scheduled annual check-up was in April 2025, followed by an unannounced hospital visit in October.
