
On Wednesday, Usman Khan etched his name in Pakistan Super League history by smashing a record-breaking fourth century. Chasing a daunting 214-run target against Multan Sultans in HBL PSL 11, Usman scored an impressive 101 off just 47 balls, with aggressive stroke play helping Hyderabad Kingsmen reach the target in the final over.
This century was Khan’s fourth in the tournament, surpassing his previous records and making him the leading century-scorer. He has played 33 matches across multiple seasons, scoring one century in 2023 and two in 2024 before this latest milestone. This performance puts him ahead of Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Kamran Akmal, and Rilee Rossouw, who have each scored three PSL centuries.
Multan Sultans posted a formidable total of 213 for seven, with Steve Smith leading the charge with an explosive 106 off 47 balls. Sahibzada Farhan added another solid score with 66, while Josh Philippe contributed 19 runs. Hyderabad Kingsmen responded strongly in reply, with Marnus Labuschagne contributing 61 and Hassan Khan providing the finishing touch with an unbeaten 24.
The win secured two crucial points for Hyderabad, propelling them to fourth place with eight points from eight matches, while Multan Sultans remained second on 12 points. Usman Khan was named Player of the Match for his match-winning century.
