Uzbekistan to Host Tashkent International Investment Forum on May 2-3

Uzbekistan is gearing up to host the third edition of the Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF) on May 2-3, with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev leading the initiative. The forum aims to foster economic cooperation and attract foreign investment, drawing participation from over 2500 investors, delegates, and businessmen from various countries.

Notably, Pakistan will be well-represented at the TIIF, with 30 businessmen and investors slated to attend. The event promises bilateral economic and investment dialogues between the two nations, poised to strengthen mutual ties.

TIIF serves as a pivotal platform for discussing strategies to enhance Central Asia’s prominence in the global investment arena. With a focus on digital transformation, transport connectivity, and green growth, the forum aims to catalyze new projects and programs, attracting foreign companies and investors.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Oybek Arif Usmanov, emphasized the significance of TIIF in bolstering bilateral investment and business opportunities. He highlighted the forum’s potential to facilitate multilateral cooperation and urged FPCCI’s participation to leverage international investment prospects.

President of the Federation Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Atif Ikram Sheikh, highlighted the significance of TIIF for Pakistani businessmen. He emphasized the growing trade relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, urging further collaboration in sectors like textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture machinery.

The TIIF will feature high-level officials and business leaders from various regions, facilitating bilateral, G2B, and B2B engagements. With a focus on promoting trade in sectors like textiles, pharmaceuticals, and machinery, the forum seeks to bolster economic ties and pave the way for sustainable growth.
