As scorching temperatures persist across Pakistan, the latest weather forecast from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) brings relief, predicting rain showers in various areas of Punjab and the upper regions of the country.
Anticipated showers starting from May 28 are poised to break the heatwave gripping the nation, offering respite to citizens enduring sweltering conditions.
A shallow westerly wave is projected to influence upper parts of the country on May 28, according to the Met Office, triggering weather changes across multiple regions:
– Dust storms or thunderstorms expected in parts of Balochistan from May 27 to May 29.
– KP regions, Gilgit-Baltistan, and several cities in Punjab to experience dust storms, thunderstorms, or isolated rain from May 28 to June 1.
– Coastal areas of Sindh, including Karachi, likely to experience dust storms with gusty winds on May 28 and May 29.
While severe heatwave conditions are anticipated to ease in the upper parts of the country from tomorrow due to expected rains, central and southern regions, particularly Punjab and Sindh, are expected to maintain intense weather conditions with temperatures remaining above normal.
