Kimberly Van Der Beek spoke emotionally about her touching renewal of vows with her late husband James just days before his death. The emotional event took place in their bedroom, surrounded by a small gathering of close family and friends. Kimberly revealed that her wedding rings were freshly exchanged, alongside candles and flowers decorating the room.

“We decided to renew our vows two days prior, and my family and friends supported us with great care,” she recalled. “Our intimate ceremony was simple yet beautiful, moving all who witnessed it.” Kimberly added that only a few close confidants attended, one of whom played the most fitting tune as they closed the ceremony.

The renewal took place on February 9, just days before James Van Der Beek’s passing at age 48. He had been battling colon cancer for over a year and had shared his final wishes openly with Kimberly months earlier. Despite the somber occasion, Kimberly highlighted how the couple’s intimate vows served as both an emotional farewell and testament to their enduring commitment.

James Van Der Beek was well-known for raising six children alongside Kimberly. Their marriage began in 2010 when they wed in Tel Aviv, Israel, a union that stood the test of time despite their challenging journey together. The renewal of their vows underscored how love could transcend any physical barrier and stand as an eternal testament to their bond.

James had recently announced his passing on February 11 through social media, sharing his final moments with grace and courage. Kimberly expressed gratitude for her husband’s support in the last chapter, acknowledging that they would need time to heal together during this deeply moving period of mourning.
