Woman Drowns While Rescuing Child from Canal

A tragic incident occurred near Pull Bazaar in Sahiwal when a woman lost her life while trying to rescue her seven-year-old son who had fallen into the Lower Bari Doab Canal. Rescue 1122 was alerted and rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, both mother and child were found deceased.

The heartbreaking event has left the local community mourning, reminiscent of another similar incident in India where a woman also lost her life attempting to save her drowning child from a stream. The video of this tragic event spread on social media platforms, further deepening the atmosphere of sorrow and grief among the people.
