Pakistan’s military reported that security forces conducted two intelligence-based operations, targeting terrorists linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), killing at least 15 in total. The operations took place on March 5, 2025.

In Harnai district, troops carried out an operation following reports of “Khwarij ex Fitna al Khwarij” presence. During the engagement, Pakistani authorities reported that twelve Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed during intense fire exchanges and are now at peace. The ISPR also stated that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the slain individuals.

A similar operation was conducted in Basima district where security forces identified “Fitna al Hindustan” terrorists linked to the BLA. After an exchange of gunfire, three Indian-sponsored terrorists were neutralized, with their cache of weaponry confiscated by authorities.

These operations, part of Pakistan’s relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, continue to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism. Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to security forces for their successful efforts in Balochistan, noting that the killing of these 15 Indian-sponsored terrorists reflected their professionalism and resolve.

The ‘Ghazab Lil Haq’ operation against Afghan Taliban operatives entered its ninth day, with continued ground and aerial operations by military forces. Security sources reported that since March 5, over 527 Afghan Taliban operatives have been killed or wounded, while more than 750 others have suffered injuries.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the security forces’ successes under the ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ vision and emphasized the nation’s united stance against terrorism. He stated that eradication of foreign-backed threats remains Pakistan’s top priority.
