170,000 Candidates to Participate in MDCAT Exam Tomorrow

All preparations have been finalized for the Medical and Dental Colleges’ Admission Test (MDCAT), set to take place across Pakistan tomorrow (Sunday). Approximately 170,000 candidates are expected to participate in the examination, according to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

To ensure a secure and transparent process, the PMDC has requested district administrations to enforce Section 144 across exam centers. Government authorities, security agencies, and other stakeholders have been involved to maintain the integrity of the exam and prevent any malpractice.

The PMDC has also directed all institutions overseeing the exam to carry out strict vigilance throughout the examination process, aiming to prevent cheating and other irregularities.

Admit cards have been issued, and the necessary formalities have been completed. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University has established 33 exam centers, University of Health Sciences (UHS) 26, Khyber Medical University (KMU) 13, and Dow University of Health Sciences six centers.

Out of 167,744 registered students, the provincial breakdown of candidates is as follows: Punjab has 58,380 students, Sindh 38,678, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) 42,329, Balochistan 5,806, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 18,408, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 3,145, Gilgit-Baltistan 739, and 259 international students.
