33 Reported Missing After Deadly Fire at Karachi’s Gul Plaza

At least 33 people have been reported missing following the devastating fire that engulfed Gul Plaza, one of Karachi’s major commercial malls, located on M.A. Jinnah Road, according to local media reports.

According to officials, the missing include men, women, and children. Families are providing details of their untraced relatives to the district administration as rescue and search operations continue.

The Sindh government has directed firefighting and rescue teams to intensify efforts to locate individuals who may still be trapped beneath the debris. Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has personally contacted the Commissioner Karachi and Deputy Commissioner South, instructing them to ensure all missing persons are traced and accounted for.

To facilitate public coordination, the Sindh administration has activated an official helpline to address queries related to the Gul Plaza fire and to receive information about missing individuals.
