A 5.7 magnitude earthquake shook Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa areas on [date]. The epicenter was located in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region at a depth of 170 kilometers.

Residents in Peshawar, Swat, Buner, Chitral, Nowshera, Battagram, Mansehra, Haripur, and Abbottabad felt tremors. Buildings shook as people fled their homes and offices in fear.

No damage was reported following the earthquake.
