
A 3-year-old girl died after falling into an underground water tank in Karachi’s Bin Qasim area. The deceased was identified as Bibi Shifa, daughter of Rashid.
According to police, the incident took place near Nad Ali Imambargah in Dar Muhammad Goth, Piri Sindhi Goth. Her body was shifted to a nearby hospital through an Edhi ambulance.
Bin Qasim Town Faisal Rafique stated that at the time of the incident, the child’s father, a laborer working as a driver, was away at work and her mother was busy with household chores. The child accidentally fell into the underground water tank while playing, resulting in her death.
Police completed necessary legal formalities and handed over the body to the family. The incident has created an atmosphere of grief in the area, with citizens advised to ensure safety measures at homes to prevent such tragedies.
