27 Women Players to Train in Lahore for Upcoming Tournaments

In a move to prepare for the upcoming Women’s National T20 tournament and series against Zimbabwe, Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that 27 women’s players are set to participate in a skills training camp from March 7 to 14 at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

Organized with the aim of enhancing their game for the anticipated ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England later this year, and including home series against Zimbabwe, as well as away T20I tri-series in Ireland, players will receive intensive coaching from current senior women’s team mentors under Wahab Riaz. This training camp not only focuses on honing their skills but also prepares them physically for the upcoming challenges they will face.

The Pakistan ODI squad is currently engaged in a three-match series in South Africa and will return to home soil on March 2. Among these returning players are those selected for the women’s camp, ensuring continuity of preparation. The lineup comprises Shawaal Zulfiqar, Sidra Amin, Aliya Riaz, Natalia Parvaiz, Eyman Fatima, Saira Jabeen, and several other promising names.

Complementing this roster is a list of 27 players who will benefit from the training camp. Notably included are Shawaal Zulfiqar, Sidra Amin, Aliya Riaz, Natalia Parvaiz, Eyman Fatima, Saira Jabeen, and others such as Gull Rukh, Hafsa Khalid, Eman Naseer, Ayesha Zafar, Sadaf Shamas, Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali, Fatima Sana, Tuba Hassan, Rameen Shamim, Umm-e-Hani, Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sundhu, Momina Riasat, Anosha Nasir, Ayesha Bilal, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab, Humna Bilal, Diana Baig, and Waheeda Akhtar.
