Saudi Aramco Closes Ras Tanura Refinery After Iranian Strikes

🚨 BREAKING: Reports indicate that Iran has launched a series of attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s crucial oil infrastructure, with one of the most significant strikes hitting Aramco’s Ras Tanura refinery.

The Ras Tanura complex, located along Saudi Arabia’s Gulf coast, is home to one of the Middle East’s largest refineries. With an annual processing capacity of 550,000 barrels per day and serving as a key export terminal for Saudi crude, this facility plays a pivotal role in regional energy markets.

Following Tehran’s coordinated strikes across various regions including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Manama, and Oman’s Duqm commercial area, the Ras Tanura refinery was temporarily shut down. The move came amid heightened tensions following the US-Israeli attack on Iran earlier this week.

Aramco did not provide immediate comment to media inquiries regarding the situation at its facility. Industry sources stated that while the strike affected Aramco’s operations, conditions were under control and precautionary measures had been implemented.

This development follows a broader escalation of attacks in the Gulf region, causing widespread disruptions to major shipping hubs in both the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. The strikes have sent Brent crude futures surging nearly 10% on Monday, underscoring the growing instability in global energy markets.

The Ras Tanura refinery’s closure underscores the ongoing geopolitical tensions affecting Saudi Arabia’s vital oil assets, with implications for regional stability and international trade flows.
