PMD Predicts Scattered Rain, Thunderstorms Across Upper Country Regions

Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts scattered rain-windstorms and thunderstorms in upper regions for next 24 hours. Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir areas predicted to receive rain-thunderstorms at scattered locations.

In Islamabad region, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain-windstorms and thunderstorms forecasted. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts expected to experience partly cloudy conditions with isolated rain-thunderstorms in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Malam Jabba, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Bajaur, Khyber, Kohat, Parachinar, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, and Bannu areas.

Rain-windstorms and thunderstorms expected in Punjab districts like Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sialkot. Murree and Galliyat may receive light rain with gusty winds.

Sindh’s hot and dry weather expected to continue; however, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Jacobabad areas may see partly cloudy conditions with isolated rain-thunderstorms.

Balochistan remains largely dry, but Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Khuzdar, Chaman regions may experience isolated rain-windstorms. Rain-thunderstorms forecast for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir areas.
