A Home Department notification designated a 13-kilometre perimeter around sensitive aviation installations as a restricted zone. The restriction will remain in effect for 30 days, applying to all airbases and commercial airports throughout Punjab.

Activities such as pigeon flying, use of laser lights, and throwing of waste have been prohibited within the restricted area. These measures are crucial to ensure flight safety, with authorities warning that such activities can pose serious risks to aircraft safety.

The notification also highlighted the issue of birds being attracted to these sites in search of food, which could create dangerous conditions for planes and passengers. Authorities have been instructed to maintain cleanliness around airports and air bases.
