Karachi Sets Up 105 Collection Centres For Eid Waste Management Operations

Karachi’s Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced all local government bodies will remain active during Eid-ul-Adha operations. Speaking to media after offering Eid prayers at Gulshan-e-Jinnah Polo Ground, he congratulated Karachi residents and Muslim Ummah on the occasion.

He stated that Eid-ul-Adha poses significant operational challenges due to widespread animal sacrifice in the city. The mayor confirmed 105 collection centers have been set up across 25 towns, with deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners present during the Eid period.

The administration promised to address all issues and urged citizens to contact Solid Waste helpline 1128 for complaints or problems. Wahab also emphasized avoiding political disputes during Eid, asserting that Karachi is a city for everyone.
