ISLAMABAD – Opposition leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai has announced a peaceful sit-in outside Parliament House starting today. In a statement on social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, Achakzai outlined his group’s intention to present their demands publicly and continue the protest if necessary. Speaking through X, he said that Friday marks the commencement of what is expected to be an ongoing demonstration by the opposition alliance.

Achakzai clarified that despite his call for peaceful conduct, the sit-in will not tolerate any form of violence or disruption against security personnel. He also warned that if demands are not met, both he and the opposition group would bear responsibility for any unforeseen incidents during these protests.
