Ahya Technologies Partners with Bank Alfalah to Advance Sustainable Finance and Portfolio Decarbonization

Bank Alfalah, one of Pakistan’s largest banks, has partnered with Ahya Technologies (“Ahya”) to deliver a suite of AI-powered software and strategic advisory services geared to accelerate Bank Alfalah’s green-banking and sustainable finance transition.

As the demand for sustainable finance across Pakistan reaches a critical inflection point, the OICCI reports that the country requires between $40 billion and $50 billion annually to tackle climate risks. This stands in stark contrast to the current active climate finance portfolio of approximately $400 million managed through the Climate Finance wing at Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination (MoCCEC). Under this partnership, Bank Alfalah and Ahya Technologies will work together to strengthen the Bank’s sustainable finance and green banking agenda.

Farooq Ahmed Khan, Group Head Corporate, Investment Banking and International Business, Bank Alfalah stated: “Bank Alfalah is committed to advancing sustainable finance and supporting Pakistan’s transition toward a climate-resilient future. Our partnership with Ahya Technologies will strengthen our green banking capabilities through data-driven insights, ESG alignment, and responsible portfolio decarbonization.”

Salaal Hasan, Founder and CEO, Ahya, stated: “Our mission is to bridge the gap between high-level sustainability commitments and the technical reality of operationalizing them. By combining our AI-powered technology with specialized advisory, we are providing Bank Alfalah with the rigorous foundation needed to direct capital toward Pakistan’s most vulnerable sectors. This engagement is about more than just reporting; it’s about architecting a data-backed financial ecosystem that drives genuine climate resilience and long-term value across the country.”
