Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is navigating a challenging period as he transitions into exile.
Currently residing at Marsh Farm, the ex-Duke of York is grappling with fallout from his relationship with his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
In his book ‘Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,’ author Andrew Lownie stated that “the [claim] that Eugenie didn’t tell her father about her pregnancy shows just how fractured that relationship may be”.
The ex-Prince believes that while the royals are likely to maintain a public distance, they might privately reconcile. He also noted that Edward’s absence suggests there wasn’t great animosity between the brothers, despite being closest in age. They may now see the reputational damage of being associated with him.
Mountbatten has found solace in nature and animals, which he says helps escape daily stress from unfounded allegations.
He reflected on the difficulty of dealing with these issues, particularly its impact on his family, for which he expressed deep regret.
