
Apple reached an agreement to settle a shareholder lawsuit for $250 million over delayed AI upgrades to its Siri voice assistant. The lawsuit was filed by Peter Landsheft in US federal court in California in 2024, following Apple’s announcement of AI enhancements at its annual developer conference but their absence on new iPhones that launched without these features. In 2025, Apple confirmed the new Siri features would be unveiled at next month’s developer conference. The company did not admit fault and stated it resolved the matter to focus on innovation for users.
