Apple is set to launch the much-anticipated iPhone 16 series and Apple Watch Series 10 at its “Glowtime” event today. The event, taking place at Apple Park in California, will begin at 10 AM PT and will be streamed live on Apple’s official website and YouTube.
In addition to the new devices, Apple is expected to announce the release dates for several software updates, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, visionOS 2, and macOS Sequoia.
The iPhone 16 lineup will consist of multiple models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. While Apple has remained tight-lipped about the specifics, leaks hint at major upgrades, including the introduction of “Apple Intelligence,” a feature designed to enhance user experience and position Apple competitively in the AI-driven smartphone market.
All models in the iPhone 16 series are expected to run on the new A18 chip, with the Pro variants boasting advanced hardware configurations. Reports suggest the standard and Plus models could replace the traditional Mute switch with a capacitive Action Button, and all models may feature a new “Capture Button” for camera controls.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to share the same camera system, with the Pro model now equipped with a 5x zoom periscopic telephoto lens. Design changes may be minimal, but a new Bronze Titanium color option is anticipated for the Pro models, along with a vertical camera layout for the base models.
