Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, known as the iPhone Fold, has entered trial production with Foxconn, Apple’s primary manufacturing partner. This significant step was first reported by Weibo leaker Instant Digital and suggests that Apple is moving towards mass manufacturing.
Analysts have mixed expectations for the device’s launch. Barclays analyst Tim Long expects it to reach consumers in December, while Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman noted a potential delay due to technical challenges associated with foldable devices and Apple’s history of launching new products after its core lineup.
Despite these concerns, recent developments indicate that Apple may still aim to release the iPhone Fold closer to its traditional autumn launch window. The move into trial production signifies that development remains on track.
