Asad Toor has been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), as confirmed by his lawyer on Monday.

According to Lawyer Imaan Mazari, Toor was detained by FIA officials at their headquarters for several hours before his arrest.

In a post on X on Monday, Mazari revealed that Toor was held in the Agency’s headquarters for over four hours, during which the office was locked, and the lights were switched off.

Toor had been summoned by the FIA’s cybercrime wing for the second time on Monday, purportedly on charges related to defamation of judges of the Supreme Court. However, he claimed that he had not been informed about any specific allegations and had only been asked to respond to a questionnaire.
