Earthquake Shocks Rattle Punjab, Tremors Felt in Lahore and Kasur

Reports of earthquake shocks have emerged from various parts of Punjab, particularly impacting Lahore, Kasur, and surrounding areas like Patoki and Chunian. Residents in these regions experienced tremors, sparking moments of panic and concern.

The seismic activity has prompted authorities to swiftly assess the situation and ensure citizen safety. While the extent of the earthquake’s impact is still being evaluated, initial reports suggest no major casualties or significant property damage.

In Lahore and Kasur, along with neighboring areas, residents felt the tremors, leading to heightened alertness. People emerged from their homes in panic, some seeking solace by reciting verses from the Holy Quran.

As of now, there are no immediate reports of injuries or property damage. However, authorities are closely monitoring the situation.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) is expected to release a detailed report soon, providing crucial information about the earthquake’s epicenter, magnitude, and the possibility of aftershocks.
