In a move to ensure fairness amidst high stakes, matriculation exams commenced today in Balochistan under stringent security measures. A total of 145,000 students from both Class IX and Class X are participating in the examinations.

These officials highlighted that approximately 68,462 students have registered for Class IX, while this number rises to 75,817 for Class X. The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has put in place a robust invigilation system with over 1,263 staff members at 434 examination centers across the province.

Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, expressed his commitment to upholding academic integrity. In a recent post on social media platform X, he declared that any instances of cheating would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He emphasized that law enforcement agencies and educational authorities were working in tandem to safeguard the examinations from external interference.

Notably, Bugti reaffirmed Balochistan’s resolve to eradicate corruption within the education sector. “Our government is committed to ensuring transparency and maintaining academic integrity,” he stated.

As these crucial exams began on Tuesday, participants braced for what promises to be a challenging but fair assessment process. With heightened security measures in place, students can now focus solely on their preparations and performance, free from external pressures of cheating or unfair practices.
