British Professor Claims Evidence of Extraterrestrial Civilisation May Be Announced Soon

We may have found a non-human extraterrestrial intelligence in our galaxy, and people don't know about it, Says Holland

A British academic believes he may have uncovered one of the most groundbreaking discoveries in human history — the first confirmed evidence of extraterrestrial civilisation. Professor Simon Holland, who has worked on NASA-funded projects, claims two competing groups of astronomers are racing to publish proof of intelligent life beyond Earth.

“We have found a non-human extraterrestrial intelligence in our galaxy, and people don’t know about it,” Holland told The Mirror. He says the discovery was made by a team working with Breakthrough Listen, a project funded by tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg and Russian entrepreneur Yuri Milner. The initiative aims to find signs of extraterrestrial civilisations.

Holland believes the announcement could be made as early as next month, potentially timed around the US elections. He explained that astronomers from an Oxford-based project have identified transmissions from a distant world, which they believe could be proof of extraterrestrial technology.

According to Holland, the discovery was made a few years ago using the Parkes telescope in Australia. The astronomers detected a five-hour-long burst of radio waves coming from the region around Proxima Centauri, a star located 4.2 light-years away from Earth.

The team is still analyzing the signal and gathering more evidence to verify the findings. However, Holland warns that Chinese astronomers working with the world’s largest telescope, FAST, might announce their own discovery first.

“This is breaking news as of yesterday,” Holland said. “The Chinese might be ahead with their FAST program.” While the Oxford team is yet to reveal the exact source of the signal, Holland suggests they are being meticulous in their analysis to avoid premature conclusions.

The discovery, if confirmed, could reshape our understanding of the universe and humanity’s place within it.
