Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed on Wednesday that government jobs in the province would be filled on merit and not under any circumstances. In a statement, he said the provincial government is taking practical steps to provide dignified employment opportunities for the youth.

As part of these efforts, advertisements have already been issued for more than 25,000 government posts ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 15. Bugti emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen good governance by ensuring jobs are offered strictly on merit.

On social media platform X, Bugti revealed that a summary regarding 4,000 vacant posts in Grades 16 and 17 has been formally sent to the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC). He assured that recruitment for these positions will be completed through a transparent, fair, and constitutional mechanism.

Bugti also announced that an online testing system, similar to the one used by the finance department, will be introduced for vacancies in other departments. This system is intended to ensure recruitment conducted purely on merit, eliminating favoritism and corruption.

Stressing that merit-based recruitment is the foundation of good governance, Bugti reiterated his promise that jobs meant for the people of Balochistan would not be traded or sold. He assured that every eligible candidate will receive their rightful opportunity strictly on merit.
