Caretaker PM Kakar Bans New Year Celebrations, Expresses Solidarity with Palestinians

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq has imposed a ban on New Year’s celebratory events as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinians. In a national address, the premier emphasized unity with the Palestinians and called for a New Year marked by simplicity.

Expressing collective grief and concern for the situation in Palestine, the Prime Minister highlighted the severe challenges faced by the Palestinian people, stating, “The entire nation is standing with the Palestinians. The New Year will be marked with simplicity.

He added that “21,000 innocent Palestinians had been martyred as of October 7.” He extended prayers for peace in the coming year, stating, “I pray from the Higher Power that the New Year will be marked with the message of peace.

PM Anwaarul Haq also affirmed Pakistan’s support by mentioning the dispatch of two aid batches to assist the Palestinian brothers and sisters.
