Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS), underscored that no one could justify violence and terrorism under any pretext during a visit to Quetta. This statement came following recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan, according to the military’s media wing.
Munir received an extensive briefing on the region’s security climate and ongoing internal operations from ISPR. He vowed that terrorists and their facilitators would not escape punishment.
“No terrorist and their facilitator will be spared,” he said. “All will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law, and no one can rationalize violence and terrorism on any pretext.”
The briefing covered terrorist attacks orchestrated by India-backed Fitna al Hindustan terrorists and security forces’ timely response, which thwarted their aims of destabilizing peace and development in Balochistan. Measures to reinforce state authority and protect citizens and infrastructure were also discussed.
CDF Munir praised the professionalism, valour, and sacrifices of law enforcement personnel who had thwarted foreign-sponsored designs on Pakistan’s sovereignty. Accompanied by Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Sarfraz Bugti, he visited Combined Military Hospital where he met injured personnel from various security agencies, including the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan, and police.
Munir lauded their high morale and commended their bravery in safeguarding national interests.
