Chief Judge Opens Three New Courts for Enhanced Local Justice Access in Sharqpur Sharif

Chief Justice Aalia Neelum of the Lahore High Court inaugurated three new Tehsil Courts in Sharqpur Sharif, marking a significant expansion in judicial infrastructure. The inauguration ceremony was attended by key officials including the Lahore High Court Registrar Amjad Iqbal Ranjha and District and Sessions Judge Sheikhupura Muhammad Naeem Sheikh.

Chief Justice Aalia Neelum received enthusiastic welcomes upon her arrival at the new courts from members of the District Bar Association Sheikhupura and a gathering of lawyers who presented bouquets. During the ceremony, she offered a special prayer and participated in formal proceedings to mark the opening of the facilities.

Participants emphasized that the establishment of these Tehsil Courts will enhance accessibility to justice for residents of Sharqpur Sharif and its surrounding areas by reducing the load on existing judicial institutions and bringing legal services closer to local communities. The new courts are anticipated to streamline case disposal at the tehsil level, with three courts in operation: one court under an Additional District and Sessions Judge and two Civil Judges’ courts.

Also notable was the Chief Justice’s participation in a tree-planting ceremony, highlighting her commitment to environmental conservation alongside judicial reforms. She also hoisted the national flag at the complex, further emphasizing the importance of this development for the region.

This inauguration underscores efforts to improve access to justice while reinforcing the legal system in Sharqpur Sharif and its vicinity.
