Cold Weather Continues Across Pakistan with Fog in Punjab

Cold and dry weather is expected to persist across Pakistan over the next 24 hours, with fog likely at a few places in northeastern districts of Punjab. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting these conditions, with most areas remaining cold and dry while hilly regions will experience very cold weather with partly cloudy skies.

During morning hours, fog is expected in parts of Punjab. Today, most parts of the country remained cold and dry, though Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Potohar region experienced isolated rain showers accompanied by snowfall over the mountains.

The highest rainfall was recorded at Muzaffarorabad Airport (5 mm), Muzaffaror City (2 mm), Garhi Dupatta (4 mm), Kotli (3 mm), Murree (5 mm), Mangla (1 mm), Malam Jabba (2 mm), and Patan (1 mm). The department reported one inch of snowfall in Malam Jabba and Murree.

The lowest temperatures recorded today ranged from minus 10°C in Leh, minus 7°C in Quetta and Parachinar, minus 6°C in Gupis, Malam Jabba, and Astore, minus 5°C in Nathia Gali and Kalam, to minus 4°C in Skardu.
