A new documentary chronicling King Charles’s environmental activism premieres at his historic Windsor Castle home. Filmed over seven months last year, “Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision” will be shown on Amazon Prime beginning February 6.

The film provides a deeply personal insight into the 77-year-old monarch’s decades of environmental advocacy and the philosophy that has motivated him. Shot in collaboration with the King’s Foundation, a charity he founded in 1990, the documentary showcases Charles reflecting on his experiences, from being dismissed as crazy for talking to plants to his vision of sustainability, now being implemented globally.

“It all boils down to the fact that we are actually nature ourselves,” Charles says. “Maybe, by the time I shuffle off this mortal coil, there might be a little more awareness… of the need to bring things back together again.”

From organic farming to architecture and town planning, King Charles has long been outspoken on the importance of human behavior aligning with nature. This stance has garnered both praise for being ahead of his time on green issues and ridicule from those who view it as inappropriate meddling.

The documentary includes contributions from former US Vice President Al Gore and features actors such as Kate Winslet, Judi Dench, and Kenneth Branagh among the guests joining Charles and Queen Camilla at the premiere. The film aims to convey a message of hope on environmental conservation but coincides with U.S. President Donald Trump’s dismissive view of climate change.

“It would be nice to try and see if we can get through to people,” Charles reflects on his efforts. “But who knows?”
