Dar, Khorev pledge to deepen Pak-Russian ties

As part of this announcement, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev visited Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad over the weekend. During their meeting, which was broadcast by 24NewsHD TV channel, both sides reviewed the comprehensive scope of Pakistan-Russia relations.

Khorev conveyed his condolences for the lives lost during a recent terrorist attack in Islamabad, emphasizing Russia’s sympathy towards the victims and their families. In response, Ishaq Dar condemned the terror incident strongly, reiterating Pakistan’s staunch commitment to combatting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Ishaq Dar, who is also serving as both Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, warmly welcomed Khorev with Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar (@MIshaqDar50). Both discussed ongoing bilateral relations and reiterated their resolve to strengthen ties further. The ambassador’s visit highlights the strong diplomatic partnership between Pakistan and Russia.

In his tweet, reporter Anwer Abbas captured this moment: “Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Alerbt P Khorev called on Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.”

Both leaders expressed their intent to expand cooperation in various areas including defense, trade, and education. The interaction between the two sides underscores the deep strategic partnership between these nations, which extends beyond the realm of cricket.

As Pakistan-Russia relations continue to grow stronger, both countries look forward to fruitful collaborations that benefit their peoples and further solidify diplomatic ties.
