General Camara, one of Mali’s most influential leaders since the 2020 and 2021 coups, was seen as a key figure within the current military leadership. His death is considered a significant blow to the country’s armed forces.

The attacks extended beyond Kati, affecting Bamako, Gao, Kidal, and other regions.
