Dwyane Wade’s Son Arrested on Domestic Violence Suspicions

Zaire Wade, the 24-year-old son of NBA star Dwyane Wade, was arrested in Los Angeles on June 21. He was booked for domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment.

A Burbank Police spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that Zaire was taken into custody after a woman called police at around 5:30 a.m. The victim reportedly had lacerations on her face and body, and a handgun was found in the residence.

The alleged victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. A Burbank Police spokesperson stated that detectives will present the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for filing considerations.

Dwyane Wade has welcomed Zaire and his daughter Zaya with both his ex-wives, Siohvaughn Funches and Gabrielle Union. He also shares his children Xavier and another son with Aja Metoyer.
